NUBS Conference 2015

NUBS conference 2015 - social?

Author: Kathryn Rezai (just call me Kat)

Hi all,

Welcome to all those who have recently been added to the network. Please feel free to write some posts and engage.

So....Who is excited for the research conference?

I'm a first year student (2 months in) so this is my first conference (like many of you in this network). Do you have any top tips to share on delivering decent presentations? My abstract is almost complete! Took a while to get everything onto one page (I even had to manipulate the margins!).

So I'm referring to an email that Clidna sent to students (who she knew - because as you know, the university does not disclose student emails to fellow peers due to Data Protection Reg's). So I have pasted her email below so  you can all read it (see below).

So who's up for some drinks on the 14th May? Any recommendations? A short-walk is The Kilted Pig,  however if we want to escalate our drinks, then perhaps somewhere closer to the city centre would be a preferable option.

Get commenting with your thoughts!

Hope all is well with your research journeys!

Kat
(ps... apologies for the amount of ! - it's Friday)

About ENUBS Doctoral Students' Community

Welcome,

The ENUBS Doctoral Students' Community is an online platform where we can communicate and share our experiences so far in our research journeys. Whatever your research programme, this platform is for all Research Students. You can use this blog to discuss anything from personal, professional, or even organising a social gathering. We can shape this community as we go on...

If you would like to be a part of this community, please post on this blog with your email address, I can then add you as a co-author of this page.

I have just set up this blog today (16/03/15) so I apologise for how simple this blog looks. If you have any ideas on how to make it more sophisticated or user-friendly, please let me know.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Kat
